Comment: I spent 4 years in the army, as a crewman on an M1A1 main battle tank. When I left the army I was a tank commander (E-5). I also served in Desert Storm. I am married to Kathryn (Kate). We have 4 children, Nicole, Maeve, Timothy (deceased) and Shannon. I taught middle school biology at Morley Stanwood for 23 years. Retiring with 31 years time in service due to military credit. During that time I coached middle school boys' and girls' basketball, middle school girls' volleyball, JV girls' basketball, Varsity volleyball, Varsity softball and Varsity boys' basketball. I was also the middle school games manager/AD for 5 years. Currently I am serving the Lord at Algoma Christian as Head of School (5th year in that position).

Career: Mrs. Lyons is a graduate of Faith Baptist School in Davison, MI; graduated from the University of Michigan-Flint; and completed her Masters of Education degree at Liberty University; ACSI Certificate. I have been teaching at ACS since 2008.
Comment: I am originally from the Grand Blanc area of East Michigan. After our family relocated to the West Michigan area, it was difficult not having any family or friends with whom to connect. ACS filled that void and has become our new family and provided a strong friendship network for each of us. My husband and I have three children all of whom have attended ACS. This school has become a part of our hearts, and we are so very blessed to have found such an amazing place to call 'home'. I am grateful for this school!

Career: Bachelor of Science, from Wright State University. In process of completing additional graduate classes from Ferris State University.
Comment: Algoma Christian School has been an important part of my life. I started teaching here in 2012, part-time, and then full-time since 2013. I attended ACS as a student through fourth grade and have many fond memories of past teachers and classes at Algoma. My husband and I live in the Sand Lake area with our three children who also attend ACS. After moving back from Ohio and having three small children, I thought my teaching days might be over. God had other plans for me, and now I have the privilege of teaching at Algoma. I can impact children's lives here at ACS just as past teachers did for me. God is so good!

Career: Bachelor of Arts, from Alma College. ACSI Certificate.
Comment: Algoma is a family atmosphere where I enjoy the opportunity to work with students and our families as we make disciples. I'm thankful to be part of such a great team where we can all use our talents for the Lord.
My role is to help students prepare for their life after high school by aiding in scheduling, checking graduation requirements, communicating about necessary assessments, along with connecting with students and families about other vital information. In addition, I coordinate student accommodations and modifications for all ACS students.
My husband and I have two daughters at Algoma and are thankful for the quality education and love they receive.
Please come talk to me, or email me, if I can help your student prepare for life after ACS or if you'd like to discuss how to better meet your child's individual learning needs.

Morgan Kehoe -- Athletic Director

Career: Bachelor of Science from Ferris State University in Recreation Leadership Management and Interpersonal Communication. Master of Arts from Michigan State University in Communication.
At Algoma: I have worn many hats during my career at ACS. Currently, my roles include Athletic Director, Varsity Volleyball Coach, and teach Secondary English and High School Physical Education.
Comment: When it was time for my husband and I to decide on the educational path for our two boys we were led to Algoma Christian School. We fell in love quickly with the family atmosphere and the focus on Christ and His biblical teachings. I have worked for Algoma Christian since my youngest son was in kindergarten. I worked in the office for 7 years and then switched to the classroom and I love it! Through my time playing volleyball and running track at Ferris State, I discovered not only a passion for sports but also a passion to share my knowledge, experience, and love of athletics with others through coaching. It has been an honor to coach the ACS varsity volleyball team for the past nine years. It has been a continued blessing to coach, work, and send my kids to Algoma Christian.
